LTF Recruitment are working with a primary school in Camden seeking a Learning Mentor / Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. This is a great opportunity for an individual passionate about improving emotional well-being and helping children build resilience and enhance learning capacity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide 1:1 support for students with emotional difficulties, implementing tailored interventions.
  • Facilitate small group sessions on emotional regulation, social skills, and self-esteem.
  • Run structured playtime/lunch clubs to aid social interaction and emotional regulation.
  • Develop and maintain resources for sessions, such as social stories and visual aids.
  • Collaborate with staff to monitor progress and provide guidance.
  • Liaise with parents/carers to update and share strategies for emotional well-being.

Applicant Specification:

  • Experience supporting children, ideally in a primary school or SEN setting.
  • Background in psychology or ELSA accreditation desirable.
  • Experience with SEMH needs essential.
  • Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
