We are a thriving secondary school in the heart of Tower Hamlets, committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can succeed. We are seeking a Learning Mentor to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting students within our Isolation Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work one-to-one and in small groups with students who require additional behavioural and academic support.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning, helping students to overcome barriers to their education.
  • Deliver tailored interventions to promote resilience, self-esteem, and emotional regulation.
  • Support the reintegration of students into mainstream classes where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to develop and implement individualised support plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor progress, celebrating successes and identifying areas for further development.
What We're Looking For
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive individual with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Experience working with students with behavioural difficulties, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Resilience and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and the importance of promoting the welfare of children.
