Join GSL Education as a Learning Support Mentor and make a significant impact on students' educational journeys. We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our client secondary schools in Greenwich, helping students achieve their full potential.
About the Role:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students as a Learning Support Mentor.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress and well-being.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure all interactions comply with the school's safeguarding and welfare policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Mentor or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of learning support strategies and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
