Outreach Behaviour Mentor / Behaviour Support Assistant is required for a successful SEMH School located in the London Borough of Lewisham. This is an ongoing full time contract to start ASAP!

The successful Outreach Behaviour Mentor Behaviour Support Assistant will possess a strong understanding of SEMH and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and will be adept at managing and improving challenging behaviours. This role involves working on a one-to-one basis and providing outreach support to students.

• You have experience supporting children with behavioural SEN; ie SEMH/ ASD/ ADHD and or ODD.
• Experience working as either; Behaviour Mentor OR Outreach Behaviour Mentor / Behaviour TA / Behaviour Support Assistant / LSA / ASD Assistant/ Child Residential Worker / Youth Worker
• Provide one-to-one mentoring and support to students with SEMH and ASD needs.
• Develop and implement individualized behaviour management plans.
• Conduct outreach visits to support students in various settings, including their homes and community environments.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and review students' progress.
• Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Support students in developing social skills, resilience, and coping mechanisms.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress.
• Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
• Proven experience working with children and young people with SEMH and ASD.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and resilience.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
