What the role entails: Pastoral Officer - Tower Hamlets

Pastoral Support Officers are responsible for setting appropriate boundaries for students with additional behavioural needs. Due to your expertise in these areas, you will assist other staff members in developing their skills.

  • The provision of care to pupils, the assurance of their safety, and the resolution of any issues the pupils may experience
  • Collaboration with other staff members, parents/guardians, and professionals
  • Prepare letters and paperwork when needed
  • Following GDPR & Safeguarding protocol
  • A resilient and instinctive approach to meeting the needs of students
  • Using behaviour management strategies effectively and working on your own initiative while adhering to policies and procedures is essential
  • High level of flexibility and eager to work in different settings and with different approaches to engaging learners
