Behaviour Mentor Opportunity in North London

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a secondary school in North London to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. This rewarding role focuses on supporting students with behavioural needs, keeping them on track academically, and providing crucial social and emotional guidance.

The Role

We're looking for a confident, experienced Behaviour Mentor who is:

  • Empathetic and assertive
  • Skilled in managing challenging behaviour
  • Strong in administrative tasks (knowledge of SIMS for logging student progress is a plus)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one classroom support for students
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the school to encourage positive behaviour
  • Promote good behaviour and minimise low-level disruption
  • Manage and de-escalate incidents, equipping students with strategies for self-regulation
  • Support students in the isolation room, helping them stay focused on classwork
  • Oversee and manage detention sessions
