Shift Engineering Supervisor - Recycling

North London

Alecto Recruitment are currently working with a Large Waste Management Company, who are looking to expand their team.

We are currently looking for a Engineering Supervisor with relevant experience to work on a Day and Night shift basis within a Waste Recycling Facility in North London.

Job Brief

To support the Engineering Team with all Maintenance and Plant Operation.

During this role, you will be required to;

  • Work alongside and support multiple Engineering Supervisors on site.
  • Supervise a shift team of skilled workers during shifts.
  • Provide advice and expertise on the current running of the plant when requested.
  • Comply with all health and safety to the highest standard.
  • Monitor performance and standards on shift.
  • To deputise in absence of the Engineering Manager.
  • Monitoring staff training and compliance and support the management of Engineering teams.
  • Use CMMS Systems to comply with existing site procedures.

Requirements

  • MUST have at least a Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Plant Engineering.
  • Should have completed an Apprenticeship within Engineering.
  • Should have general understanding on Engineering/mechanical principles.
  • Proven experience within Process Plant, Engineering/Manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Experience within a Heavy Industry or Process Plant Facility.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and Continuous Improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

Package Details

  • Salary is 50,000 a year.
  • This role is worked on a 4 on 4 off shift basis, based on 12-hour shifts. (DAYS AND NIGHTS)
  • This opportunity comes with a vast amount of training and a clear progression route within the company.
