An award-winning law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their collaborative and professional team. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you’ll be working within a supportive group, providing essential secretarial and administrative support to a team of conveyancing lawyers.

This is a hybrid role, with three days based in the office and the flexibility to work from home for two days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to fee earners, including audio and copy typing, drafting correspondence, and preparing legal documentation using Oyez forms.
  • Open new files and send initial correspondence to clients and third parties.
  • Prepare Contracts for Sale, TR1s, Stamp Duty Land Tax Returns, and reports on title.
  • Use the Land Registry’s online services and prepare search reports.
  • Liaise with clients professionally both in person and over the phone, ensuring messages are relayed promptly to fee earners.
  • Handle billing, completion statements, and general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, and data input into the case management system.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure all files are kept up to date and compliant.
  • Uphold confidentiality and discretion at all times.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary is essential.
  • Strong audio and copy typing skills with speed and accuracy.
  • Confident managing a busy workload independently and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and familiar with case management systems.
