Unique opportunity has become available working for a large prestigious law firm on a fully remote basis on US hours covering their US office on the Document Production side. The firm are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Document Production Specialist to join their in-house legal document production department in London to cover some US hours for the team.

The role will be working the following shift:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5am - 11am AND Sunday from 9am - 5pm. This is a reduced hours role working on a permanent basis and paying up the £53,000 per annum. The position will be fully remote working.

This role will be working as a hands-on Document Production Specialist working remotely within a team creating, editing, and reformatting large legal documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing correspondence, memoranda and other legal and non-legal documents in an accurate and timely manner; proofread and quality check documents for content, context and accuracy.
  • Formatting, editing and styling complex WORD documents at an advanced level, including mail merge, large input and tables.
  • Creating, editing and formatting complex technical drawings, graphics and organizational charts.
  • Generate reports using Contract Companion.
  • Troubleshoot and resolves issues relating to document corruption and inconsistent styles.
  • Create PDF portfolios using Adobe Professional.
  • Effectively communicate with department management, proactively offering ideas and solutions when issues arise.
  • Exercise good judgment when handling work requests and appropriately managing tasks from one shift to the other.
  • Taking initiative to stay current with new approaches and changes in technology relating to document production software.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of document production experience.
  • 65 wpm typing with expert proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Change-Pro (document comparison), FileSite, DocX tools, EDGAR/SEC filing, Express Scribe, and Visio, Adobe Acrobat, InterAction, RightFax, WinZip, and other software related to the core functions of the document processing department.
  • Legal experience and/or professional services experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills with a sharp attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task for efficient and effective work production.
  • Ability to be a proactive, self-starter.
