Do you have experience working in a Legal Advice Clinic, Law Centre or other legal setting? Can you provide a high level of skilled legal and administrative assistance and support to a team? If yes, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Legal Clinic Coordinator to work in the Legal Clinic of a prestigious London University. This full-time role, Monday to Friday, has an immediate start for a four-month contract. It is primarily an office-based role but with the possibility of one day a week homeworking.

As a Legal Clinic Coordinator, you will work in a busy Legal Clinic within the University setting. You will be part of an award-winning centre that aims to educate its students and provide access to justice to the community. You will manage the day-to-day organisation supporting the Supervising Solicitors with administrative and project management tasks. Your knowledge and understanding of the English Legal System will allow you to confidently and competently work with students and be able to assist with initial client enquires, triaging and signposting as necessary.

Legal Clinic Coordinator - Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with administrative and project management tasks to support to the Supervising Solicitors in the Clinic
  • Arranging and booking client appointments
  • Working with students to deal with client enquires including initial triaging and taking responsibility for the management and maintenance of the digital case management system
  • Confidently liaising with Supervising Solicitors, partner law firms and referral agencies
  • Overseeing 'Day’ and 'Evening’ Legal Clinics and supporting the promotion of such work
  • Attending meetings with partner organisations and other legal service providers and maintaining and updating a referral list of partner organisations

Legal Clinic Coordinator - Key Skills

  • Degree or equivalent with experience within a Legal Clinic, Centre or other Law Advisory Service
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the English Legal System and professional standards and data protection regulations applicable to legal service providers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to confidently liaise with a variety of stakeholders and exceptional organisational skills with good time management and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with a high attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in IT skills - including MS Office, MS Teams, Excel and some knowledge of legal case management systems
