We are currently seeking a motivated Permanent Legal Document Automation Specialist to join a forward-thinking US law firm in London, United Kingdom. This role is open to to the team expanding and services the real estate team at this top law firm.

Job Responsibilities
  • Organise the preparation, cleaning and styling of legal documents for automation.
  • Analyse and translate requirements into clear, logical frameworks for automated templates.
  • Design logic to handle the insertion of different outputs based on pre-defined scenarios.
  • Use Avvoka to program templates for different legal document outputs.
  • Develop and maintain consistent nomenclature for functions and code attributes.
  • Run debugging and analyze legal permutations against requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system-wide libraries to standardise the automation system.
  • Implement efficient and reusable code, prioritising clarity and maintainability.
  • Assist in the development of looped functions for automating repetitive tasks.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the codebase for efficient updates and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with secretarial teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in automated templates.
  • Attend automation and legal technology training workshops.
  • Log software bugs and contribute to progress reports to Partners.
  • Deputise for and assist the Technology Manager in various technical tasks.
  • Manage workload effectively and collaborate with other teams within the firm.
Qualifications Required
  • Two years' experience of legal documents production is highly desirable.
  • Several years' experience of legal document automation is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with computational thinking concepts is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office (including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, including advanced features like section formatting and cross referencing.
  • Experience using iManage, SharePoint, HighQ, and other legal technologies is desirable.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Detail-oriented in legal writing and document formatting.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude and a collaborative approach.
