Due to expansion a new role has arisen for a Legal Secretary. The company have an excellent on boarding and training programme providing a positive and supportive working environment. The firm pride themselves on promoting from within. Following the probationary period there is an opportunity to work Hybrid. You will be joining the team of a renowned multiservice law firm committed to access for justice. Their lawyers specialise in criminal defence, family law, housing, civil liberties and human rights. It is a great working environment with a family feel.As Legal Secretary your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting fee earners in dealing with all aspects of family law including matrimonial / divorce / private law / domestic abuse and care proceedings.
  • Handle CCMS legal aid matters / applications.
  • Copy typing and typing from digital dictation.
  • Keeping appointment diaries for any Fee Earner or any Senior Member of the team.
  • Handle telephone calls whether incoming or outgoing from clients, Counsel, experts and other third parties.
  • Greet clients and others visiting the office as may be appropriate.
  • Actioning any fee notes and/or matters pertaining to experts’ invoices.
We are keen to speak to people about this Legal Secretary opportunity who have the following skills and experience:
  • Previous experience working in a administration, secretary, reception role within Family Law.
  • Proficient in typing, including audio typing with accurate spelling.
  • Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to cope with the pressure and demands of working in a busy team.
  • Computer skills with experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
