Our client is a well-established boutique law firm, based in Mayfair. They have developed a very strong high net worth client base, with a large focus on residential property and a core client following comprising of overseas investors, wealthy UK based property owners, offshore registered companies and property developers/traders.

Our client is seeking a legal secretary with at least 5 years' property experience coupled with a working knowledge of KYC/AML compliance requirements and procedures. You will be handling very high value purchases/sales and a good level of working know-how and knowledge of a property transaction is essential.

Key duties would include:

  • File/matter opening (including drafting the requisite AML forms)
  • Undertaking AML searches
  • Dealing with the firm's onboarding process
  • Carrying out searches
  • Liaising with the land registry
  • Audio typing
  • Independently drafting basic emails, letters and boiler-plate documents
  • Undertaking typical pre and post completion tasks to include SDLT returns, Land Registry applications, dealing with notices of assignment/charge
  • Keeping document management system up to date
  • Answering telephone
  • Having direct client/introducer contact from time to time
