Our client, a prominent UK law firm, is seeking to recruit a Legal Secretary to join their corporate team. While the role primarily focuses on supporting the corporate team, there is crossover support for the private client team. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have experience in both areas of law. The firm is well-known for its commitment to career development and training.

As a Legal Secretary you will provide support to an allocation of Partners and Associates, key responsibilities include:

  • New client onboarding and conflict checks
  • Opening and closing of files
  • Diary management
  • Supporting fee earners with business development and ensuring the CRM is kept up to date
  • Billing
  • Acting as a gatekeeper to fee earners, assisting clients with queries where possible
  • Working closely with other secretaries, covering and helping where possible
  • Delegating tasks to administrators where appropriate
  • Working closely with document production, ensuring all documents are to a high standard and in firms house style

To be considered for this position, you will have prior experience in a similar role within a corporate team, ideally with some experience in private client. Key skills and experience:

  • Excellent IT skills - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • A team player, highly organised with experience in meeting deadlines
  • Experience in liaising directly with clients
