Are you looking to join a well-established law firm, working in a small team-orientated environment? We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Legal Secretary to join the team and get involved in a variety of duties to support the Partner and office.  The Role:  As a Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting the fee-earner and the office. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Diary management - proactively managing the Partner’s diary, scheduling meetings and prioritising tasks
  • Audio Typing - accurately transcribe audio recordings into written documents and correspondence
  • Document management - organising and maintaining files and documentation, sending out correspondence to clients and third parties
  • Office operations - assisting with various office tasks, including billing, photocopying, and general administrative duties
  • Client communication - acting as a key point of contact for clients and third parties, providing excellent customer service
  • Legal administration – assisting the Fee Earner with all aspects of administration to ensure the office runs smoothly
Skills and Experience Required:   We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities to join a close-knit team:
  • Strong Audio typing & IT skills – fast and accurate audio typing skills, legal experience is not essential, as well as proficiency in MS Office  
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients, colleagues, and external parties
  • Attention to detail - meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks and documentation
  • Organisational skills - highly organised and efficient, with the ability to prioritise tasks and conflicting deadlines
  • Proactive approach as well as the ability to be a team player - self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as contributing to a positive work environment
