Legal Secretary - Asset Management & Investment Funds Team

£40k

London (EC4M), with hybrid working

Are you an experienced, proactive Legal Secretary looking for your next challenge? Our client, who are one of the largest law firms in the world, spanning 5 continents, are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join their Asset Management and Investment Funds team in London as a Legal Secretary, working with a number of Partners and Associates on a permanent basis.

What you’ll do: You’ll be responsible for a wide range of duties, from managing calls and emails to creating, editing, and proofreading legal documents. Your organisational skills will be crucial as you maintain both physical and electronic files, schedule meetings, and handle logistics. You’ll also be trusted with the preparation of monthly client bills and expense reports, including extensive billing for one of their largest clients.

Key tasks include:

  • Coordinating travel arrangements, both domestic and international.
  • Managing timekeeping records and supporting billing processes.
  • Using document management systems to organise and track files.
  • Assisting with overflow work and providing backup during absences.

What They’re looking for: They’re seeking candidates with a strong background in legal secretarial work, ideally within a large law firm. You should be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience with billing systems such as Elite and document management software would be a strong advantage.

The ability to manage a busy workload, meet deadlines, and maintain an exceptional level of accuracy is essential. A positive, can-do attitude, flexibility, and strong communication skills are also key to success in this role.
