Job Description

Reed Legal are recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join our clients Legal and Compliance team. They work in the payment processing arena, and we are looking for a disciplined individual with a focus on customer service and attention to detail. This is a completely remote based position.

The responsibilities of the role will include all elements of but are not limited to the following:

Compliance

  • Complete compliance reviews on new and existing stakeholders (individuals and entities)
  • Bank account openings
  • Update in-house files with changes to data

Legal

  • Contract administration, both in house and external
  • Contract drafting from existing templates (service agreements, joint ventures, consultancy agreements, etc.)
  • Liaising with external service providers from different jurisdictions to incorporate new companies and/or deal with any modifications (change of Director, address, etc.)  
  • ICO registration management

Required Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a compliance role with knowledge of KYC and AML
  • Excellent team spirit is key
  • Excellent attention to detail and solid organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Communication skills both oral and written, to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability and experience in prioritising and working well under pressure when required
  • Monitoring progress: Take ownership for all assigned tasks, monitor progress and ensure all planned work is on schedule
  • Drive forward ideas from the team to improve the existing operating process

Desirable experience:

  • Legal/paralegal experience an advantage
  • Understanding of the payment area a plus
