This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to join a successful Global Commodity producer, marketer, and Trading business. This role is based in the Compliance team here in London, where they trade various Energy products including Oil and Gas.

The successful candidate will help support with on-boarding (i.e., Know Your Customer) and third-party risk management. Whilst the focus of the role will be on KYC, this role may also assist with other aspects of the broader Compliance Programme, including vessel screening, risk assessment and training etc.

Key responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

  • Maintain complete and accurate KYC due diligence records on new and existing counterparties and non-trade vendors and ensures that relevant databases are updated to reflect completion of review and relevant details.
  • Escalate all concerns and issues as appropriate.
  • Influence improvements to current processes.
  • Maintain and enhance effective interaction and communication with other units /business areas and counterparties.
  • Any ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Educated to degree level as a minimum.
  • Work based experience in Compliance, KYC/AML, Onboarding etc.
  • Experience of working within the energy and or commodity trading sector is an advantage
  • An interest in building a career within compliance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical with an eye for attention to detail.
  • Capable of working with significant autonomy.
