Purpose of the Role

To play a key role in ensuring the Bank fully complies with the full scope of financial crime systems and controls required for UK authorised and regulated banks.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and authorise risk-based trade finance referrals.

• Deliver bank-wide training through the portal tool, periodic bank-specific briefings face to face sessions (after gaining familiarity with the Bank’s products and services).

• Maintain and periodically review the Bank’s legal and vendor databases.

• Maintain designed Compliance Registers to ensure regulatory compliance and support monthly reporting.

• Complete thematic review tasks as assigned through Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP).

• Conduct sanctions screening for ad-hoc and in-flight transactions using industry standard tools.

Skills, Attributes & Credentials

• Qualifications - industry related diploma, e.g. ICA, ACAMS, AFB and/or a degree or relevant higher education diploma. (or willingness to take qualifications)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Compliance function with minimum one year supervisory experience.

• Ability to navigate and interpret UK regulations (including PRA/FCA rulebooks) and JMLSG Guidance.

• Ability to undertake thematic reviews covering a broad spectrum of UK regulatory requirements.

• Microsoft office competence.

• Strong ability to undertake presentations and manage bank-wide training programme.
