We are working with a young and dynamic, Central London, property specialist law firm. They provide a modern working "City "environment" and great opportunities for any paralegal seeking exposure to good quality residential conveyancing casework.

This firm was set up by two excellent Property Lawyers who have seen significant and continued growth, including the promotion of staff into their senior team. They are known for providing a fantastic environment in which their junior staff grow and flourish!

Your Role

As a Residential Property Paralegal, you'll play a key role in supporting a diverse caseload, including:

  • Sales and Purchases: Navigate the intricacies of property transactions.
  • Re-Mortgages: Assist in refinancing property deals.
  • Transfer of Equity: Facilitate the seamless transfer of property ownership.
  • Right to Buy: Support clients in purchasing their homes from local authorities.
  • Shared Ownership: Help clients navigate shared property purchases.
  • New Builds: Assist with transactions involving newly constructed properties.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will be varied and interesting, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks
  • Crafting standard correspondence and legal documents
  • Ordering property searches
  • Handling Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns and payments
  • Managing Land Registry applications
  • Reviewing client account ledgers
  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders in a professional and personable manner

The role would suit those with :

  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months in a conveyancing or real estate team.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with conveyancing procedures and legal terminology.
  • Skills: Outstanding attention to detail, organisational prowess, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively.
