Role Summary:The Conveyancing Paralegal will assist with residential and commercial property transactions, supporting attorneys in all aspects of conveyancing processes. This role requires a detail-oriented and organised individual with an understanding of conveyancing procedures, keen to grow in a fast-paced and dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities:

  • File Management: Open and maintain conveyancing files, ensuring all documents and information are accurately recorded and organised.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on transaction progress and addressing any queries.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and prepare standard conveyancing documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
  • Searches and Registrations: Conduct property searches, liaise with third parties, and assist with registrations and filings with the Land Registry.
  • Completion Arrangements: Assist in coordinating transaction completions, including funds transfer and client notifications.
  • Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties as needed to support the conveyancing team, including data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all files and documents comply with legal and firm policies, particularly around confidentiality and data protection.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a conveyancing role, ideally within a law firm or property-focused environment.
  • Education: Law degree, CILEx qualification, or relevant legal certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in conveyancing software and MS Office Suite.
  • Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
