Conveyancing ParalegalStratford area (near Wanstead park station)£25,000 per yearWe are currently seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal for a growing team near Stratford. Applicants will be accepted from candidates with experience or candidates that have completed their LLB with an aim to do their SQE, which our client with financially assists with or offer a training contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has the desire to eventually become a solicitor and grow with our client long term where you will be offered lots of progression .This new role will be providing cost-effective and efficient support to conveyancing solicitors in the department and take a handle of specific administrative and case management responsibilities within the conveyancing process.Key Tasks:

  • Assisting with file openings, client care correspondence, and maintaining compliance with conveyancing protocols.
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents, such as Contracts of Sale, Transfer Deeds, and Mortgage documentation, for solicitor review and approval.
  • Conducting pre-exchange and post-completion tasks, including searches, Land Registry applications, and SDLT submissions.
  • Reviewing conveyancing files and preparing summary notes or reports for solicitor oversight.
  • Managing client accounts, preparing internal accounts forms, and ensuring client ledgers are accurate and updated.
  • Maintaining client files, ensuring all correspondence, documents, and plans are systematically organized and up to date.
  • Providing research support on property law matters as requested by conveyancers and summarizing findings clearly.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties to assist with routine inquiries and updates.
  • Supporting lawyers during property completions, including scheduling funds transfers and finalizing post-completion formalities.
  • Assisting with file closures and the organization of deeds and other property-related document storage.

Person Specification:

  • A proactive and hardworking individual with strong initiative and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and third parties.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail to manage multiple files efficiently.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues.
  • A strong desire to develop skills and knowledge in residential and commercial conveyancing.
  • Proficient with conveyancing software and systems, or willing to learn quickly.
  • Qualifications: Minimum 2:1 in a qualifying law degree, or any degree with GDL. Previous experience in a conveyancing department is an advantage.
  • For those aspiring to progress within the legal field, completion of LPC or SQE is highly desirable.
