A rare opportunity has arisen for a French speaking Paralegal to join a leading, international law firm in London in International Trade on a permanent basis.The team are well-respected within International Trade and Sanctions law, advising clients globally across a range of sectors including technology, shipping, insurance, and digital assets, among others.The role:The firm seek a Paralegal with fluent French language skills and a demonstrable interest in International Trade to work closely with the Head of the Team in London.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting in-depth legal research on international trade and sanctions law.
  • Drafting and review French contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal opinions and reports.
  • Support senior lawyers with client matters, including due diligence and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Fluency in French (written and spoken) is essential.
  • Demonstrable interest in International Trade through studies (e.g., LLM) or relevant work experience.
  • 6 months’ experience in International Trade law preferred, but candidates with other commercial paralegal experience who fulfil the other criteria are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent drafting and communication abilities.
