Knowledge Development Assistant

£27,008 p/a

London (EC2M) with hybrid working

We are working with a leading law firm, who are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Knowledge Development Assistant to join their Housing Management and Property Litigation team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in supporting legal professionals and contributing to the development of a busy, specialist team. Experience in a legal environment is hugely beneficial—they value the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong organisational skills. This role would suite a Knowledge Paralegal or someone who has experience working as a Research Assistant in a law firm.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Knowledge Development Lawyer, you’ll assist with tasks such as:

  • Conducting legal research and drafting briefing notes on legislation, case law, and procedural updates.
  • Monitoring legal developments and maintaining the team’s training and precedents bank.
  • Supporting the setup and delivery of internal and external training events.
  • Assisting in the development of team resources, from new legal tools to updated materials.
  • Keeping records of meetings and supporting knowledge-sharing projects within the team.

  • Proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of tasks.
  • A strong communicator who can collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Competent with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Motivated, approachable, and enthusiastic about contributing to a team environment.
