Legal Assistant - Conveyancing
Location: Blackheath
Salary: 24,000 - 28,000
Hours: Office-based, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Are you a proactive and meticulous Legal Assistant eager to build your career in Conveyancing? A well-established law firm in Blackheath is seeking a dedicated individual to support their busy Conveyancing team.
About the Role:
In this position, you'll provide essential assistance to fee earners in the conveyancing department, handling a variety of tasks to help ensure smooth property transactions. You'll gain invaluable experience while working alongside seasoned legal professionals in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing quotes for clients and drafting client care letters
- Creating completion and financial statements
- Handling registrations and performing ID checks
- Preparing and organising documentation for client signing
- Managing administrative tasks such as filing and case management
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, and third parties to facilitate case progress
- Delivering excellent client service throughout the conveyancing process
About You:
- Previous experience in a Legal Assistant role within Conveyancing
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
- Ability to work efficiently within a team as well as independently
