Legal Project Manager London (with hybrid working available)£65,000 - £75,000 + benefits

The CompanyThis leading UK specialist law firm has a reputation for delivering outstanding services and known for its deep expertise in a niche area of law. The firm is highly regarded for its technical proficiency and practical solutions in managing complex specialist cases. The development of a dedicated Legal Project Management team supporting key business stakeholders, has created a high-profile opportunity for a Legal Project Manager. You will aid the development and assist the team to drive forward the LPM offering to the business as demand increases.

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Project Manager

  • Lead the LPM activities for the largest and most complex matters. This will include scoping, pricing, planning and delivery, budgeting and reporting.
  • Act as main project manager for a range of matters, including governance, investment and administration projects for clients.
  • Be proactive about managing risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies on projects, identifying opportunities and challenges from an early stage.
  • Demonstrate value and financial savings in effective matter delivery.
  • Work with fee earners to deliver complex legal mattes based on best practice project management.

Skills & Attributes of the Legal Project Manager

  • Relevant project management qualification, ie APM, Prince2 or similar (or working towards one) is highly desirable.
  • A creative approach to problem solving with an ability to manage critical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret the clients’ business needs and translate them into business/operational requirements.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills.
  • A client focused approach to the delivery of projects and project planning.
  • The ability to empathise with fee earners and clients while providing clear project management advice.
