Litigation Paralegal

up to £25k

Are you an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a passion for litigation? Our client, and excellent, multi-sited law firm, are seeking a Paralegal to join their busy litigation and dispute resolution team, working across a broad spectrum of litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-action investigations, including factual and legal research.
  • Assist in preparing for hearings, mediations, and appeals.
  • Manage disclosure and inspection processes.
  • Support advocates during hearings and negotiations.
  • Prepare documents like chronologies and assist in case management.
  • Draft and review case plans, written advice, contracts, shareholder agreements, statements of case, witness statements, and more.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and witnesses.

What They Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Prior experience in Litigation/Dispute Resolution is essential.
  • Enthusiasm: A commitment to learning and developing within the role, while maintaining professionalism and pragmatism.
  • Attributes: Organised, disciplined, and presentable with a keen eye for detail. Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Team Player: Willingness to contribute to team efforts and participate in marketing and committee activities.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong ability to analyse and solve problems. Competency in Word and Excel is essential
