Our client has a new Joint Venture for Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Hubs within the UK & Ireland. The business has an initial target of building and operating 300 hubs or 3,000 charging sockets within 5 years. The company size is estimated to be initially 70 and increase eventually to 100 people.

Location: The location is flexible, offered as Field-Based, although the position holder will be required to work in the London Office in Canary Wharf on an occasional basis, or as may be required by the business.

Working Pattern: This role is offered on a Full-Time basis of 35 hours per week, 5 days per week Monday to Friday. Whilst this role requires consistent hours due to operational demands, we are open to discussing options in accordance with our 'Flexible First’ guidelines.

The role is offered initially on a contract basis for approximately 3/4 months with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent staff role. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The role will be focused on supporting and assisting with general Real Estate matters. Responsibilities will include the following but in general will provide the opportunity to be proactively involved with a number of key legal and compliance matters in this area.Preparing reports to the business on key terms in documents to be used at project approval meetings. Updating online trackers to record the status of various projects. Attending meetings (usually online) with internal business contacts and external lawyers to take notes/list action points.Collating documents and obtaining approvals ahead of documents being sent for execution by the directors. Managing the folders containing the precedent documents and completed documents for all Source sites, and maintaining central control list of all lease agreements (key conditions etc)Assisting with purchase order (agreed legal spend) and money transfer requests. Supporting with the transition of legal documents and contract novation.Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHEQ standards.Others ad hoc assigned by Legal Manager or company Management .

FOR THE ROLE, THE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:Strong academic background with either a law degree/similar degree and the legal conversion course/paralegal.Experience gained working for a law firm would also be preferred. Proactive and detail orientated with a demonstrable ability to gather information from relevant teams and to support in the review of contractual terms.Adapt and embrace changes in work practices and job activities.Provide clear and concise written and verbal information and advice.Good communication skills to develop positive internal and external stakeholder networks.Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise work activities.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
