Central London

Hybrid working - 2 days in the office and 3 days remote

9am - 6pm

Our client a legal company are looking for an articulate and experienced Paralegal to join their growing team.

The client is looking for a candidate who has a few years’ experience in a property department conducting post-completion duties.

The role will be client-facing, so it is essential that you are a confident communicator with the ability to deal with clients (with sensitivity and with discretion) and other staff proactively and professionally.

Paralegal Duties:

  • File opening and closing procedures
  • Initial correspondence and Sales Memorandum review and data entry
  • Mortgage offer download to Case Management System
  • Mortgage offer Expiry alerts
  • Drafting and submitting SDLTs and AP1s
  • Drafting letters are per instructions from Fee Earners
  • Payment request process and bank detail verification checks.
  • Dating original documents following exchange as per instructions from Fee Earners
  • Completion process including original document dating as per instructions from Fee Earners
  • SDLT payment requests
  • Reminding Fee Earners re Companies house applications and MR01 completions
  • Dealing with any requisitions from HMLR as per instructions from Fee Earners
  • Completion of Registration notification process to clients and lenders

Paralegal Specification:

  • Must be highly organised and work efficiently to deadlines.
  • Proficient with using lender portals, case management systems and other systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • To have paralegal experience.
  • Detail oriented, excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritise own workload with exceptional time management/organisation skills
  • Ability to use IT systems/applications (MS Office)proficiently and learn new IT skills as required
  • Confident professional telephone manner
  • Positive attitude with a pro-active approach to responsibilities
