Paralegal - Housing DisrepairLambeth£20 per hourFull Time Contract

We are seeking a motivated Paralegal to join our Housing Disrepair Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective Housing Service, supporting our efforts to address legal disrepair claims and ensure quality housing for residents.

The job:

  • Provide vital support to the Disrepair Manager and Disrepair Case Officers, enabling the smooth handling of legal disrepair claims.
  • Assist fee earners, case officers, and managers with operational tasks, ensuring the seamless progression of cases.
  • Liaise professionally with stakeholders, including residents, residents' solicitors, and internal teams, to maintain clear communication and a collaborative approach.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records, case files, and documentation to support case preparation and management.
  • Conduct basic legal research and assist in the preparation of case materials, correspondence, and reports.
  • Act as a first point of contact for inquiries related to disrepair claims, providing excellent customer service and support.

The candidate:

  • Demonstrable experience in a legal or housing environment, with a solid understanding of disrepair claims and housing law principles.
  • Ability to interact confidently and sensitively with a wide range of stakeholders, including residents and solicitors.
  • Meticulous approach to record-keeping and case management.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and case management systems.
