Are you an experienced legal assistant with a strong background in intellectual property (IP)? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading IP firm as a Senior IP Legal Assistant, supporting its high-performing IP Professional Support Team.

The Role

Tas the successful Senior IP Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert administrative and organisational support to fee earners. You will manage a range of tasks, including liaising with clients and foreign agents, preparing high-quality correspondence, maintaining case files and ensuring critical deadlines are met. As a senior team member, you will lead by example, mentor colleagues and contribute to process improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing filings and formalities for patent and trade mark applications
  • Coordinating assignments, name changes and document legalisation processes
  • Producing accurate correspondence and official forms for submission to IP offices
  • Diary management, prioritisation of deadlines and preparing cost estimates
  • Mentoring team members and promoting a collaborative work environment

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have significant experience in an IP support environment, strong attention to detail and familiarity with systems such as iManage, Inprotech and CRM platforms. Candidates pursuing or holding CIPA or CITMA qualifications will be particularly desirable.
