Ryder Reid Legal is seeking a dedicated and proactive Practice Coordinator to join one of our esteemed, international law firm clients on a permanent, hybrid working basis at their London office.

The Firm: Our client is renowned for their expertise in international arbitration, litigation, cross-border acquisitions, capital markets transactions, private equity funds, financings, and restructurings. The London office, part of an integrated European practice of over 140 lawyers, collaborates closely with colleagues in New York, Paris, Frankfurt, and other global offices. With over 130 lawyers, the London team is integral to our global operations.

The Role: As a Practice Coordinator, you will be a key point person for matter management, including new matter opening and ongoing administration. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and maintaining billing portfolios, reviewing time entries, producing client bills, and assisting with financial analysis related to clients and matters. You will also develop strong relationships with key clients and attend relevant meetings to ensure up-to-date knowledge of clients and matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage new matter openings and ongoing administration.
  • Coordinate and maintain billing portfolios for assigned billing partners.
  • Review time entries to ensure proper matter coding, billing rates, and compliance with client guidelines.
  • Produce proformas and client bills, including narrative description bills and detailed time/cost bills.
  • Develop strong relationships with key clients and attend relevant meetings.
  • Assist with financial analysis related to clients and matters.
  • Liaise with the firm's billing team and other administrative departments as required.
  • Handle ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 A Levels.
  • ILEX, law degree, or previous paralegal experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a law firm.
  • Knowledge of Aderant is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
