Ryder Reid Legal is seeking a Senior Finance Operations Analyst to join one of our prestigious, global law firm clients on a permanent basis at their London office. This role is essential in providing financial analysis, budget monitoring, and fee reporting to support partners and lawyers in enhancing matter management and profitability. You will work closely with the Business Services teams to deliver strategic, data-driven insights and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize legal project management software and Excel to prepare reports and models.
  • Review time entry data to ensure proper workstream allocation and optimize collections.
  • Provide data and analytics for accurate budget development.
  • Lead meetings with lawyers regarding matter statuses, billing expectations, and updates.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and scaling initiatives.
  • Develop expertise in transactional law areas to support strategic planning and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with Client Operations, Pricing, Knowledge Management, and other Business Services groups.
  • Maintain project trackers and budget repositories for oversight and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; other relevant qualifications desirable.
  • 3-4 years of law firm experience preferred, particularly in practice operations or analyst roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with legal budgets, financial reporting, and fee monitoring.
  • Exposure to private equity fee structures and pricing models is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-starter, and highly organized.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Aderant, Iridium, Foundation, or Clocktimizer is a plus.
