- Collaborate with the Tax Practice team to support specialised tasks and projects.
- Provide assistance with case preparation, document production, depositions, hearings, client meetings, transactional closings, and other practice-specific needs.
- Support internal initiatives tailored to the Tax Practice Area, contributing to the development and refinement of practice processes.
- Retrieve critical materials, including case law, statutes, regulatory rules, and company filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct thorough research using legal and non-legal tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other tax-specific platforms), delivering clear and actionable insights to lawyers.
- Utilise market-based and rules-based research to enhance case strategy and ensure compliance with current regulations.
- Perform detailed legal research to support a variety of client and practice-specific needs.
- Strong proficiency in mathematics and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrable knowledge of tax-related principles, concepts, and procedures.
- Experience with legal research tools and databases such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and PACER.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.
