- Provide excellent customer care and front-line support at the LRC counter and IT service desk.
- Assist in managing the learning resources collection to support teaching and learning.
- Register new users, issue, renew, and return library items, and manage bookings for LRC rooms and services.
- Promote a conducive learning environment and supervise students, ensuring adherence to appropriate behaviour standards.
- Assist students with disabilities and/or learning difficulties in accessing the facilities.
- Contribute to marketing and promoting the LRC services to staff and students.
- Ensure a safe learning environment in collaboration with other team members and security staff.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to support students and staff.
- Proficiency with library management systems (LMS), and basic software support.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when necessary.
- A flexible approach to working hours and duties, including covering at other centres when required.
- Must be available to start on 10th February 2025 and work until 4th April 2025.
- DBS check required.
