Salt is working with a leading luxury cosmetics brand, seeking an experienced freelance Online Trading Manager to join their eCommerce team.
As an eCommerce Manager, you will lead site trading, strategy, and operations, overseeing a small team. This role focuses on creating and executing an omni-channel brand strategy to strengthen the digital flagship site, driving conversion, revenue, and traffic through seamless customer journeys.
- January start, 3+ month contract
- Circa £250 per day, Inside IR35
- Hybrid working in London
As an Online Trading Manager, you will:
- Define and drive the trading strategy for the UK website to achieve sales goals, and lead the execution of the annual retail trade plan
- Take responsibility for onsite optimisation, testing, and SEO, to optimise the customer experience and improve conversion
- Own the development roadmap, prioritising updates and features and take accountability for site refreshes, considering brand and regional goals
- Manage an external PPC media agency, alongside three direct reports internally
- Work closely with the paid media, CRM, and marketing teams to forecast traffic, and plan for promotions and new product launches
As an Online Trading Manager, you will need:
- Strong experience in eCommerce, A/B testing, and reporting, ideally with a luxury/retail/cosmetics background
- Strong proficiency in web analytics tools, and strong experience driving an always-on A/B testing strategy to create and optimise personalised, seamless consumer journeys
- Experience leading small teams, and managing external agencies
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
