The role of Logistics Manager will be to run the day to day distribution operation for our client, this will require 3PL management experience as well as knowledge of inventory control processes.

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Manager to join their team on a temporary basis, with an immediate start required. Description

  • Oversee Daily Logistics Operations: Manage the end-to-end logistics process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and manage stock replenishment.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and packaging.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the logistics operation and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all logistics activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics and KPIs.

Profile

  • Experience: Proven experience in a logistics management role within the FMCG sector, preferably within food production or similar industries.
  • Skills: Strong organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of logistics operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Flexibility: Ability to start immediately and commit to the temporary duration of the role.
  • Location: Proximity to West London and the ability to commute daily.
  • Systems: Previous ERP experience, advanced Excel skills
