SF Recruitment has partnered with a rapidly growing organisation to recruit an experienced Logistics/Supply Chain Lead on a permanent basis. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional looking to shape a pivotal role using their expertise, while growing alongside the organisation.

Role Overview:

- Position: Logistics/Supply Chain Lead - Type: Permanent - Location: Birmingham/London - Salary: circa £50,000

Key Responsibilities:

- Intermediary Role: Act as the crucial link between logistics partners and the wider business, ensuring seamless communication and operations. - Familiar with International Commercial Terms: Be fully conversant with interco terms, duties, and VAT regulations, ensuring compliance and efficiency. - Global Goods Movement: Oversee and control the multinational movement of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective logistics. - Freight Management: Build strong relationships with freight organisations, creating agreements to optimise logistics services. - Inventory Control: Maintain and manage appropriate inventory levels both nationally and internationally to meet business demands. - Order Fulfilment: Control the movement of goods from warehouse to customer, ensuring timely delivery and managing customer expectations. - Problem Solving: Proactively manage and resolve any freight issues or logistical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. - Collaboration: Work closely with the Group Financial Controller to manage and control commercial costs, ensuring financial efficiency.

Ideal Candidate:

- Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management. - Strong understanding of interco terms, duties, and VAT. - Ability to manage multinational supply chains. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and relationship-building abilities. - A proactive approach to managing inventory and logistics challenges.
