The role:

  • The successful Managing Director will be a key member of the leadership team responsible for driving and delivering the vision, mission and values of the company
  • In the role the Managing Director will be responsible for the business objectives, operation and financial plan, KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Leading a sales and procurement team the Managing Director will inspire, lead and motivate the team to exceed expectations, deliver financial KPI’s and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • The Managing Director will develop and deliver a growth strategy across organic, retention, acquisition and diversification.
  • The Managing Director will report results to the shareholders across performance, operational and legislative performance.
  • Leading the efficient and effective development of operational policies, procedures and systems, the Managing Director will ensure the company has the correct management structure and organisational design to deliver objectives.
  • The Managing Director will embrace and inspire a culture of team work, integrity and honesty.

Ideal candidate:

  • You will currently be working as a leader within a procurement or foodservice focused organisation, ideally with a sales, people and operations background. This could be within contract catering, delivered foodservice wholesale or an outsourced procurement consultancy.
  • It is essential that you can demonstrate a proven track of leading company operations at board level with full accountability for performance.
  • For the Managing Director role you will be an inspirational leader and be proven in delivering results through coaching and developing to create high performing teams.
  • You will have excellent financial awareness and will have been involved in negotiating large complex contracts.
  • You will be an innovator, with the ability to identify opportunities and grow the business.
  • Having excellent communication skills you will be highly personable and be able to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • As Managing Director you will thrive in a fast paced, value led culture which has to constantly adapt to changing priorities and market conditions
