Our client Scottish Power Renewables are seeking a Senior Installation Manager (IAC) for a long-term contract role based in either London or Glasgow on a hybrid working basis.
Main Purpose of the Job
The Installation Manager is to support the IAC Package on East Anglia 3 project and provide support cross project when needed. The Installation Manager will be responsible for aspects of cables termination and testing within the package.
Key Tasks
Overlooking all Termination and Testing (T&T) activities within the package
• Ensure all T&T activities are performed during mock up and all lessons learnt are captured in T&T procedures for execution
• Scrutinize Contractors T&T programme prior to execution
• Management of T&I Contractor's engineering deliverables and offshore works.
• Ensure Contractor is using the adequate vessels, tools, and personnel for T&T SoW
• Track all T&T activities during execution up to O&M handover. Revise all termination and testing reports and documentation prior to cables take over.
In addition to the core responsibilities and accountabilities the Installation Manager may be delegated additional responsibilities for health and safety management, budgeting, planning, procurement, development of departmental procedures and reporting
Key Criteria
Essential
Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in offshore wind or subsea discipline related to cables
Demonstrable experiences in:
o Subsea cables Installation
o Subsea cables termination and testing
o engineering design.
o production of specification and tender documents
• Desirable
Experience in offshore Cables terminations
