New Vacancy - Assumed Senior Claims AdjusterCity of London | HybridInsurerI am currently recruiting for a leading insurer who are looking for an Assumed Senior Claims Adjuster to join their US Legacy team.My client is looking for someone with 10+ years of experience in Reinsurance Claims within the London Market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a personal caseload of complex and high-value claims, including analysing critical data and reports, recommending appropriate reserves, negotiating settlements with Cedants, and confidently making and supporting decisions.
  • Collaborate with Cedants, Brokers, Co-Re-insurers, and Attorneys to handle and analyse reinsurance claim exposures effectively.
  • Take a proactive approach to claims management, exploring alternatives to resolve their exposure when necessary.
  • Leverage strong knowledge of litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes, participating in all stages, including discovery, depositions, and hearings.
  • Prepare clear and concise written and verbal reports for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with policy obligations, Treat Customers Fairly, and adhere to applicable Conduct requirements.
  • Contribute to claims objectives and drive profitable growth by identifying risk insights, trends, and emerging risks.
  • Handle cases in-house where possible, appointing and liaising with legal representation only when necessary.
  • Plan, conduct, and report on audits of Cedants and other parties, including due diligence reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members, supporting their development in claims handling and strategy formulation.
  • Coordinate with actuarial, finance, and operations teams as needed.
  • Stay updated on legal, regulatory, and medical developments impacting claims.
  • Report significant developments, issues, and trends to the Head of Claims.
  • Support the wider Claims team with additional responsibilities as required.
