- Manage and resolve claims for the Latin American portfolio, using technical expertise and sound judgement
- Evaluate and report claims exposures promptly, escalating to Senior Management when necessary
- Serve as the technical expert for assigned product lines, liaising with stakeholders, providing claims reports, and helping with policy wordings
- Prepare reports on large loss portfolios, including Watch list updates and monthly large loss reports
- Ensure accurate reserving and manage long-tail projects effectively
- Appoint and oversee adjusters, solicitors, and experts to ensure efficient claims handling
- Maintain strong communication with claims management, underwriting, and other departments to share information on claims trends
- Provide support and training to junior team members
- Travel as required and attend market claim meetings
- Minimum of 5 years' claims handling experience
- College degree preferred
- Proficient in English and Spanish (business-level)
- Experience in the Latin American financial lines market is a plus
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of FCA/PRA and Lloyd’s rules is a plus
