We are currently recruiting for a Professional Indemnity Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and well-respected London Market insurer.

The successful candidate will manage Financial Institutions, Directors & Officers, and Professional Indemnity (predominantly Construction and Solicitors Professional Indemnity) claims at individual and portfolio level, achieving high levels of satisfaction for the insured and broker through high quality claims management / resolution and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively managing claims from notification to closure.
  • Developing, communicating and executing claims strategies, taking into account uncertainties, key decisions, potential outcomes and estimated associated costs.
  • Reviewing individual claims within the portfolio and keeping reserves and records up to date as required.
  • Identifying issues and trends in the portfolio and taking appropriate and/or corrective action.
  • Keeping the Finance department advised of any material claims as set out in the claims authority, protocols and procedures.
  • Providing input to Underwriters on review of potential or existing insured’s claims experience.
  • Reporting and analysing claims trends and developments and their potential impact on the book.
  • Operating within approved claims authority at all times.
  • Contributing to marketing and underwriting strategies and future business development.
  • Working closely with the Underwriters and the Claims team in London and in international offices as necessary.
  • Assisting the Professional and Financial Lines Claims Manager with day-to-day claims administration.

Key Requirements

  • At least 4 years' experience of handling Professional Indemnity Claims within the London Market, with at least 2 years focused on Construction professionals, such as Architects, Contractors and Engineers.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • CII qualified, with a desire to continue your professional development.
  • Strong attention to detail.
