New Vacancy - Senior Claims Adjuster (Energy, Power & Mining)City of London Lloyd's SyndicateI am currently recruiting for a leading Syndicate who are seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join their growing team.This position will be handling direct Claims within the Energy (Upstream, Downstream, Renewables), Power & Mining lines of business on a worldwide basis. My client is looking for someone with strong experience within these lines with a strong Lloyd's background.

Key Responsibilities

  • To effectively manage claims, leading the market, originating from responsible lines of business (and other relevant classes as needed), from FNOL to settlement, while considering subrogation/contribution where applicable, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality claims service and proactive resolution.
  • To actively monitor claims, ensuring early 'best estimate' reserves are set, valid claims are settled promptly, and costs are tightly controlled throughout the lifecycle.
  • To ensure all claims handling processes adhere to company procedures, controls, and regulatory requirements with individual performance resulting in positive Claims KPIs.
  • To role model and encourage a culture of open communication, collaboration, dynamic claims adjustment, and continuous improvement, sharing knowledge with team members and colleagues, to foster excellent service delivery and an optimal working environment.
  • To deputise for the claims manager and other senior claims team members as needed.
  • To provide specialist knowledge to clients and the business, supporting better decision-making and helping clients prevent and mitigate losses.
  • To provide claims thought leadership and insights, both verbally and in formal reports, using knowledge and analysis of claims data (including input into the reserving process) to aid in better business decisions.
  • To collaborate with underwriters to create compelling propositions that attract and retain business, and to provide support to client partners as needed.
  • To build strong relationships with broker partners, understanding their needs, gathering feedback to improve service delivery, and fostering relationships with co-insurers to positively influence outcomes.
  • To proactively achieve claims team strategic objectives and participate in business modernisation, helping to transform the current claims proposition into a trusted, market-leading offering.
  • To understand and oversee delegated claims procedures where relevant, treating all service providers and experts as extensions of the team.
  • To act as an ambassador for the company, raising its profile in the market and strengthening its claims reputation.
