We are currently recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster to focus on handling a caseload of UK Professional Indemnity and D&O / FI claims on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and well-respected London Market insurer.

The successful candidate will manage UK Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines Claims at individual and portfolio level, achieving high levels of satisfaction for the insured and broker through high quality claims management / resolution and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Financial Institutions, Professional Indemnity, Solicitors Professional Indemnity and Directors & Officers claims.
  • Assisting management with the supervision and development of more junior team members and new starters outside of the immediate claims team.
  • Developing, communicating and executing claims strategies, taking into account uncertainties, key decisions, potential outcomes and estimated associated costs.
  • Reviewing individual claims within the portfolio and keeping reserves and records up to date as required.
  • Identifying issues and trends in the portfolio and taking appropriate and/or corrective action.
  • Keeping Finance advised of any material claims as set out in the claims authority, protocols and procedures.
  • Providing input to Underwriters on review of potential or existing insured’s claims experience.
  • Reporting and analysing claims trends and developments and their potential impact on the book.
  • Operating within approved claims authority at all times.
  • Monitoring TPAs, including bordereaux management, audits, etc.
  • Ensuring CPD provisions of CII and IDD (Insurance Distribution Directive) are met.

Key Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience handling Professional / Financial Lines Claims.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Dip CII and University Degree qualified.
  • Proficient user of ECF.
