Senior Claims Adjuster - Natural ResourcesCity of London Lloyd's Syndicate Salary: Negotiable

Experience: Looking for someone with extensive experience in resolving Natural Resources claims globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage claims from initial report to settlement, ensuring a market-leading approach that aligns with business needs. This includes handling claims from your responsible business line and other classes where appropriate, while considering subrogation and contribution when necessary to deliver a superior claims service.
  • Actively monitor claims to establish accurate early reserve estimates and ensure valid claims are settled promptly, maintaining strict cost control throughout the claim life cycle.
  • Ensure all claims handling processes comply with my client's procedures, regulatory requirements (Lloyd's/FCA/PRA/J-SOX), and internal controls while consistently achieving high performance against Claims KPIs.
  • Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and promoting dynamic claims adjustment, ensuring superior service delivery and an optimal work environment.
  • Provide support by stepping in for the claims manager and senior team members when required.
  • Offer specialist expertise to clients and the business to enhance decision-making and help mitigate potential losses.
  • Deliver claims insights and thought leadership through analysis and formal reporting, contributing to better business decisions and supporting the claims reserving process.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to create a compelling value proposition that attracts and retains key business while supporting client partners as needed.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with broker partners, understanding their needs and gathering feedback to enhance service delivery. Work with co-insurers as required to maintain positive industry influence.
  • Drive claims team strategic objectives and contribute to business modernisation efforts, advancing the claims proposition toward a market-leading, trusted model.
  • Where applicable, ensure adherence to delegated claims procedures and oversight, treating service providers and experts as an extension of the team.
  • Act as a company ambassador, enhancing my client's reputation in the market and reinforcing its leadership in claims management.
