We are currently recruiting for a Senior Reinsurance Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a highly regarded and very well-known Lloyd's/London market business.
The key purpose of the role is to achieve prompt, accurate and consistent adjustment of claims liabilities in the Property & Specialty team.
Key Responsibilities
- Promptly handling Property and Marine Excess of Loss Reinsurance Claims.
- Rejecting any invalid claims.
- Adjusting quantum of covered claims.
- Negotiating and resolving disputed claims.
- Ensuring accurate reserves are recorded.
- Liaising with co-insurers as required.
- Raising, recording and tracking queries on claims as required.
- Eliminating redundant reserves.
- Managing relationships with internal and external Lawyers and Adjusters.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience of handling Property and Marine Excess of Loss Reinsurance Claims within the Lloyd's Market, including experience of handling international claims. Candidates with a Broking background will also be considered, but they must have a good understanding of policy wordings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
