Building Maintenance Engineer - £55k - London
An incredible opportunity has arisen for an experienced,electrically bias building services engineer with impeccable client facing skills and professionalism to work for a leading building maintenance company on one of their most prestigious 5 star contracts in Central London.
Working on a one man site, with mobile support and the environment being high end services offices the successful applicant will be carrying out routine planned maintenance and reactive repairs to a high standard, whilst also managing statutory compliance within this 6 floor luxury commercial premises.
Ensuring that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, and maintaining a safe and functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
- Carry out works including plumbing, painting & decorating, carpentry, general building works, and minor electrical and mechanical engineering work.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
- Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly, minimising their impact on facility operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs.
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of maintenance projects and competitive pricing.
- Carry out administrative duties including record-keeping with regard to the team, PPM updates, contractors (management), and financial, statutory, and non-statutory requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor or similar role
- Electrical Qualifications in a relevant field, such as engineering or facilities management
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality maintenance services and improving customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication, client facing skills, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team when required
