Site Supervisor/Manager
Up to 45k plus van and fuel card
Main purpose of role:
As part of our exciting phase of expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated Site Managerto join our dynamic team. This role is essential in delivering the high-quality, efficient services we are known for, particularly within the areas of repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment. You will oversee multiple concurrent projects, managing agile teams and ensuring high standards are maintained throughout. Experience with domestic home retrofitting projects is highly advantageous.
The role will be split between hands-on site management, and tools if required, and office-based coordination to ensure projects are effectively planned and executed. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in managing diverse projects, working with teams, and ensuring that all work meets the necessary technical, quality, and safety standards.
Main Duties:
- Project Management:
Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure the correct procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontractor services. Develop and implement strategies to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget. - Technical Expertise:
Read, understand, and interpret technical documents, drawings, and plans to ensure correct execution of project work. Ensure all works meet high-quality standards and comply with relevant regulations, health and safety guidelines, and industry standards. - Team Leadership:
Manage a diverse team of multi-trade staff, and repairs projects ensuring clear work instructions are provided, and all teams are working efficiently and effectively. Provide hands-on leadership and support to your team while motivating and developing their skills. - Stakeholder Liaison:
Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, contractors, and third-party partners, to ensure project requirements and expectations are fully met. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships to ensure continued success and satisfaction. - Quality Control:
Monitor project performance, including the oversight of materials, equipment, regular contractors, and subcontractors. Ensure that the work being completed adheres to high-quality standards and regulatory requirements. - Negotiation & Procurement:
Negotiate favourable terms and prices with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions and value for money. Assist in procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of necessary materials and resources. - Health & Safety:
Ensure all work activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Conduct regular site inspections to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety across all projects. - Reporting & Documentation:
Provide regular updates on project progress, budgets, and timelines. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and contractor performance. Report issues and escalations promptly to senior management.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
- Experience in Domestic Retrofitting Projects:
Previous experience in managing or overseeing domestic home retrofitting projects would be a significant advantage. - Qualifications:
Relevant industry certifications or qualifications in Construction, Project Management, or a related field. - Experience in Site Management:
Extensive experience in managing multiple concurrent projects in facilities management, property maintenance, or refurbishment sectors. Experience in domestic home retrofitting projects advantageous. - Project Planning & Delivery:
Proven ability to review and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts, with a strong understanding of project timelines, budgets, and resources. Experience in delivering projects on time and within budget and providing clear work programs to staff delivering the work. - Stakeholder Management:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers. - Health & Safety Knowledge:
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on site, ensuring a safe working environment for all. - Technical Knowledge:Sound knowledge of the building and construction industry, particularly with retrofitting, property refurbishment, and maintenance.
