Business Support Administrator / Administration Assistant with previous admin / office administrative experience, excellent customer service, data entry and diary coordination skills, is required for a Remote position with a well-established, reputable and highly successful, family-owned surveying practice specialising in investigative building subsidence damage.
SALARY: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum (pro rata for part time) + Performance Related Bonus
BENEFITS: 25 days’ paid holiday per year (pro rata for part time), company pension and childcare vouchers
LOCATION: Home Based / Remote working with occasional training visits to the company office in London NW2
JOB TYPE: Full-Time or Part-Time, One Year Contract (renewable)
WORKING HOURS: 40 Hours per Week (core office hours are 9:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, with full time staff being allowed a one hour paid lunch break)

As the Business Support Administrator / Administration Assistant you will manage all enquiries, maintain accurate records and support the Company’s nationwide team of surveyors.
Full Training will be provided online and/or at the Cricklewood office, but the position will be fully home-based / remote.
Working as the Business Support Administrator / Administration Assistant you will be the first point of contact for telephone enquiries and incoming emails. You will be required to respond in a timely fashion and ensure that the information gets passed to the relevant person.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Business Support Administrator / Administration Assistant will include:
- Being the first point of contact for telephone enquiries (cloud-based phone system) and incoming email. Carrying out requests, resolving basic issues and taking responsibility for any necessary action or communication
- Contacting and maintaining relationships with customers, surveyors and other parties as required, whether by telephone, email, in person or in writing, in a professional and pleasant manner
- Manage and carry out a variety of administrative tasks to ensure day to day operations run smoothly. Efficiently maintain the office administration systems
- Maintaining and organising digital document control records in an effective manner to ensure they are secure and up to date at all times
- Coordinating and maintaining efficient diary/action plan management of multiple diaries for the surveying teams, utilising a bespoke Microsoft Access system
- Accurately checking survey reports in Microsoft Excel and converting to PDF for transmission to the clients
- Maintaining a flexible approach to work at all times with a positive and hardworking attitude
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Access to reliable broadband - both the phone system and file handling are cloud-based
- Excellent office administration experience - could be from a business support / customer service / personal assistant or other relevant background
- Organisational skills with high levels of accuracy and efficiency
- Experience of working under pressure, both individually and as part of a team, prioritising workload, good time management and meeting deadlines
- Attention to detail to ensure all work is right first time
- Good Office 365 (SharePoint) and Microsoft Office skills, ideally including comfortable use of formulas in Excel and some experience of using Access databases, although appropriate training will be given where necessary
- Good numeracy skills to be able to understand the content of surveys and related material and identify potential errors
- Fast and accurate typing with good computer literacy skills so that correspondence, notes and documents can be independently created
- Experience from a surveying background with technical administration skills and possibly an exposure to land/building surveys would be an advantage but is not essential
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
